1. Zero Data Storage & Training Policy

The core of our service is processing your CV and target job descriptions to tailor your application. We have a strict commitment to your privacy:

• In-Memory Processing: Your CV, job descriptions, and the generated tailored CVs are processed entirely in memory.
• No Storage: Once the tailoring process is complete or your session ends, the uploaded documents and generated files are immediately discarded from our servers.
• No AI Model Training: We never use your CVs, personal details, or job descriptions to train our AI models or third-party models.
• No Selling Data: We do not sell, rent, or trade any of your personal or professional data to recruiters, marketers, or any other third parties.

2. Data Collected by the Website & Web App

When you use the maxcv.ai website and web app, we may process:

• Uploaded Documents: Your CV (PDF, Word, or text format) and pasted job descriptions. These are processed temporarily to provide the tailoring service and match scoring, and are not saved.
• Analytics: We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website to improve user experience. This includes anonymous data such as page views, device types, and referral sources.
• Payment Information: If you purchase a premium plan (e.g., Per CV or Pack 50), payment processing is handled securely by our payment providers (e.g., Stripe). We do not store your credit card details.

3. Data Collected by the MaxCV Chrome Extension

The "MaxCV.ai: Max Your CV!" Chrome Extension is designed to seamlessly extract job postings from job boards and send them to the MaxCV web app for processing. It requires specific permissions to function securely:

• activeTab & scripting: The extension only accesses the content of the current tab when you specifically interact with it. It extracts the job description text to send it to our API for processing. It does not track your browsing history or read data from tabs you haven't explicitly triggered it on.
• host_permissions: It communicates securely with our API (https://maxcv.ai/*) to submit job postings and retrieve a direct link to continue tailoring your CV in the web app.
• storage: The extension uses your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local) merely to temporarily track the status of job processing (e.g., "processing", "ready", "error"). This enables showing the appropriate status badge and URL links without storing any personal user data.
• notifications: This permission allows us to alert you when the job posting has been successfully processed and is ready for tailoring.

4. Third-Party Services

We may share anonymous, non-personally identifiable information with third-party analytics providers (like Google Analytics) to monitor and analyze the use of our service.

5. Your Rights

Because we do not store your CVs or personal application data, there is no account data to delete regarding your processed documents. If you have signed up for a payment or account system, you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your billing account data at any time.
